Prolotheraphy? My wife has a torn meniscus and arthritis in the knee. Very painful when she walks. We heard about a procedure called Prolotherapy which involves injections into the site to stimulate inflamation which brings natural building processes to the inflamed site. Before committing to surgery we are considering trying the Prolotherapy.

Has anyone had any experience - good, bad, or neutral with Prolotherapy?. We appreciate feedback. -- johnjohn

Surgery Arthritis Pain

Hi I took the shot and they are painful and didn't help. In 2005 I had my left knee joint replaced. Yes it is a lot better. I was glad that I got it done. I have other health problems in my legs which I have pain from. I got pitch nerves in both legs, but this not from the surgery. I had back surgery in 2006 and I have problems from it. I would get my knee joint done again if I had to.

Try it. It helped me some

Best of Luck!

Hi,
Years ago, I had a torn miniscus & went to a Sports Medicine doctor (Pele was one of his patients as was the entire NY Islanders team... LOL). They only do surgery as a last resort.
He gave me some simple exercises to do that 'fixed' it & I avoided having to have surgery.
Good luck!
Susan
