Has anyone every had an irregular heartbeat?
I feel these beats that are like extra beats in my throat.
Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it worries me.

Have these multiple times a day, sometimes for several minutes. Feels like my heart is flopping around in my chest.
Dr. said they used to try to treat for this, but that they don't worry about this anymore, as it doesn't seem to cause any problems. Can be caused by stress or medications. Get extra signals to the heart to beat, but out of sequence.
Kind of an uncomfortable feeling.
I'm not a Dr., but probably not something serious.
Three different friends of mine all had a similar problem and all three were treated differently. However, all three had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours to check the regularity of their heart beat first. One was told not to worry, the second was given medication to help regulate the heart rate which has helped her tremendously and the third one was given a pace maker. She was the oldest of the three, the other two are in their mid to late 40's. You should probably check with your doctor and see what he wants to do or even request to be referred to a cardiologist.
But did any of them ever get a diagnosis? I will go to the doc soon, I have had some stupid changes to my insurance which makes it tougher, but it does freak me out.
Thanks for the replies.
