I read your entry....I would be very very upset, but then I would get tested. If you do have it you need to start taking action on your health. We all have to deal with issues of our lives. I have hep-c and so does my 3 yr old daughter. I know it is not the same , but the outcome is the same.

Live your life like it is your best day. Accept what life gives you. You will be in my prayers. God Bless, Brenda

This might sound ridiculous/simplistic... but "don't give up!" Seek out the assistance of not only doctors (as even they make mistakes in diagnosing/treatment - my son was diagnosed as autistic... but they neglected to tell us the underlying cause of autism in his case - which is very treatable)... trust to your gut feeling, but also look into various forms of treatment: homeopaths/naturopaths/natural hygiene, etc...

For every condition there has to be a treatment... and i don't say this to make your situation seem small... (as i found myself in somewhat of a similar situation when i was in my teens)... so, have faith in your body, your strength, and your ability to heal... as all are very real, and possible if you seek out their abilities.

I do hope this helps, and that you are open to various types of treatment (should they be necessary); meanwhile, don't allow anyone to to suggest giving up on yourself.

I know what you are feeling - remember this, if this will help, in 1980-1990's this ID was a death sentenance, today with all the rugs, it is a chronic illness if you stay on top of your treatments and get the best doctor. Merck is soon to release a new phase of drugs which kills the virus before it can attack your t-cell's and kill them off one-by-one. This is great newd for those infected with the HIV virus. The name of the drug is Isentress (the research name is Raltegravir). If you find that you are positive after testing (and I pray you are not) deal with a mail order pharmacy not your local pharmacy as I feel confidentality doesn't exists with these large pharmacy. Bob's Pharmacy in Los Angeles, California is a mail order pharmacy which deals only with infectous diseases (ID). You will want to speak with Bob the owner/pharmacist. Their phone number is easy to remember 1-800-800-DRUG. Go to their web site www.bobspharmacyUSA.com to get a better feel how they can help you. He takes every insurance and will work with if you have an insurance issue...and you don't need to worry about breach of identity. Then, seek out the best ID doctor. In LA I would go to Dr. Thomas Magee, In the Dallas area it would be Dr. Brady Allen. They have been working with reserarchers since the early '80's. If on the east coast let me know. Just don't give the ship....please . Write back

Jesus said: "Come to me all which are carrying on to much and are tired because I will give you rest". You are holding a heavy load that has taken out the peace from you. The only one who is able to restore it to your life and makes you whole is the Son of God. Turn your head and your heart to Him. Talk and tell Him how you are feeling and let Him to health your soul first. He will answer you.

This is great information, but not everyone has health insurance or can they afford this kind of treatment. Believe me, I am going through a similiar situation because the government is screwing me over. In two weeks I will have no health coverage, and I am on life sustaining meds, and without them, I will most likely die. I cannot afford my meds, as I am on disability. I am not eligible for Medicare until Nov 2008, and I am told that I get too much disability to continue to get Medicaid. How do I keep living? I most likely won't because I can't afford my anti-seizure meds or my MS treatment. I feel like I have been given a death sentence.

DON'T GIVE UP...there are support groups throughout the US. Contact the manufacturer of your drugs. i,e Merck and see if you can get their drugs free for "compassionate" and financial reasons. I haven't heard of anyone being turned down. You should be pounding on the doors of the MS group as well. There are AIDS activists groups out there to support people in your category. I can't believe there aren't the same for MS. WRITE TO JERRY!!!! I know this sounds like allot of work, but once you have the body of the letter perfected, you can flood the mail network. I am on SSDI and have never heard that one gets max'ed out and my treatments and drugs are mega bucks too. You should be calling your senator and congressman's office. MAKE WAVES. Remember, the squeakie wheel gets the oil. It is only a death sentence if you let it be. I hope this has helped.

Hi, My name is Michelle and I 'm so sorry to hear that you MAY have AID's.............but that is the key word MAY . You don't know if infact you have it yet or not. So try taking what I call baby step's.........by that I mean first make an appointment with your Doctor if you haven't already done so. Then if the result's is positive find out from your Doctor what medication's there are that you can take to slow the disease down, join a counselling group for people that also have this disease. I may not sound like I'm being very helpful but the fact is if you have it ........you have it and you can either choose to let IT control your life or you can control your life........DON'T let this disease consume you to the point of no return. Have you gotten ahold of your city's health unit and reported this guy's name?, if not you should because you just might be saving another life or more. My Grandmother who passed away very recently use to say "Thing's happen for a reason"......... and as harsh as that sound's at time's and you think well what the hell use am"I to anyone with AID's..............and why did I get this.............you no doubt have a million different thought's and question's milling through your mind.............but the fact still remain's you have it (if you do, I hope you don't) and you need to be in control of your life. You can still live a productive happy life if you choose to. Your in the driver's set so drive like you've never driven before . I do hope your result's are negative.
Sincerely a friend if you need one
Michelle

First- he "might" and you "might". Find out for sure. You might not have it. Get tested ASAP. If you don't have a doctor, or you don't want your doctor to know, call your health department. Do it now. Don't wait one more minute--

Second- use this as a horrible learning experience. No more sex without protection! Unless you're in a monogamous relationship where you've both tested negative-- no more unprotected sex!

Third- I know people who have had AIDS since the early 80's and they are still alive. Yes, it is possible. They have amazing treatments now- and the earlier you find out you have it the more that can be done. Often AIDS is a life-long disease to be managed instead of a looming death sentence. If you have it- find a doctor who specializes in treating it- talk to AIDS educators- learn as much reliable information as you can. Information is power.

Now- go get the phone and call about that test!!!
Good luck- and my prayers are with you-

You need to get tested firstly. Get to know more about HIV. Life is not over is just means you must change your ways and start living positively.

HI, Yes they are right, go get the test before you plan that trip none of us want to see. There is one good thing that will come out of all this , this is your frist step to a better life than before! You will ask and you will make better choses than before. We all live and learn, none of us was born perfect in this old world
we live in! Back in my day it was other bad things and every day they come up with a new badness that we can get from others and their shrot-comings. There was reasons God made all those rules out there! I hope the best for you and pray it wll all turn out ok and for the best. There are alot of us out there that have been in your shoses too! If only we would listen to the words in that little black book and heed his word. Safe sex, that sounds safe! There is only one real safe sex, nun!!!!! I have been a widow now for 12 1/2 yrs and there is times I think of sex too. Then I remeber that old saying, God knows what we are doing and his words where put here to show us love and our protection also! So look at this as a New Start of a New Story not the End to Your Life! My prayers are with you!

Prayers
