I literally cried for the children suffering. I stumbled across this site while reading a blog in an online community called naturalcures community. A woman was complaining about New Jersey passing a law that all pregnant women bill be subject to mandatory HIV testing. Some researchers say pregnancy itself can cause a false positive! I'll bet Glaxo SmithKline and Merk will be happy to hear that their expensive drugs will be pushed off onto innocent pregnant women and their babies. I'm just not buying it. Show me one medical journal or article or report that supports that anyone has singled out a single virus that causes AIDS. Be independent thinkers people. Don't fall victim of what is going on in our profit driven society. Don't put your life in the hands of an industry driven by profit. Get the facts. Know the truth. Don't believe everything you hear or read.

I agree with some of what NaturalNurse23 has stated however I would think and believe that it is not only a good idea to test every pregnant woman for HIV. Many times in our society in increasing numbers, women are falling victim to poor choices made by their Partners or Husbands. And in many cases with the majority having no or limited access to healthcare often do not get tested and do not find out until it is too late.
In Addition, if women find out at the beginning of their pregnancies HIV medications can prevent the transmission of the virus to the fetus. Many studies have proven this, and many more births from infected mothers have proven this as well.
NaturalNurse23 has mentioned a very valid point, as pregnancy in itself can produce a false positive. However, this only occurs in about 3 percent of the women tested. Moreover, the numbers of women who find out they have HIV during their testing, are greatly higher. The latest estimate by the CDC Centers for disease control, whom does a piss poor job at best state that about percent of women tested actually are HIV positive and contracted the disease while in a monogamous relationship or so they thought.
NaturalNurse23 Also mentioned another very valid point, that is that Glaxo-SmithKline and Merk do an enormous amount of Lobbying in congress to not only push there products on the public but also maintain a very close relationship with insurance companies.
One thing that puzzles me is NaturalNurses23's comment that they have scientist have not singled the virus that causes AIDS, in fact HIV is the virus which causes AIDS. In Fact AIDS is not a Disease; it is the symptoms caused by the HIV virus attacking the immune system. HIV attacks the very cells which are needed for the body to fight infection; this is why HIV is so deadly. In all honesty AIDS has never killed anyone; it has just enables other organisms to do the job for it. In most cases HIV patients drown in their own phlegm due to puenmocistis pneumonia, a condition that a health immune system can effectively fight off. But for an HIV patient is virtually impossible even with the strongest of antibiotics.

Let's face it 80% of what we think we know and form as TRUTH in our minds is the opinion of others. I know as TRUTH that I have not had to personally experience this disease and have not done research supporting emperical evidence about HIV and/or AIDS. I do know the importance of learning all you can and keeping an open mind, especially if you have been "diagnosed". I also know as a consciously thinking being in the healthcare profession that there are many things that are hidden from patients. I also know there are many things about AIDS and HIV that just don't make sense. Such as, how can someone be HIV positive one day and not be HIV positive the next day? If this disease is caused by a virus and only a virus, then why are some people with full blown AIDS testing negative for HIV? Our society wanted so badly to put a cause and a label on this coplicated physiological disorder, I think we got in a hurry and created an industry first. "The War against AIDS" Rather than putting poisonous expensive chemicals into someone's body when their immune system is already not working correctly just doesn't make sense. What research needs to be focusing on is "why" the immune system is not working the way nature intended in the first place. There are several theoris out there based on research besides the theory that AIDS is caused by a virus. WIthout going into detail and repeatin someone else's research, I'll just leave you with this link and ask you to keep an open mind. NO illness is "incurable."

Your comments my response was very well stated, I have known or leased all thought that a lot has been kept from patients. And with you being in the medical community, I'm sure you have more insider information than I do.
I found your last response to be both informative and extremely interesting I have several questions now that I need to run by my professor. As he is not my doctor and is not involved in my direct healthcare I'm sure he will tell me the truth as he is the one that told me the insurance company actually makes decisions on who gets what treatment, and when.
Knowledge of giving me something to think about, I need to do some research, and get the true honest facts on this blog. As my intentions are only to inform not to misinform.
I have heard of people who test positive and are placed on the antiviral drugs, whos HIV level's, or the amount of HIV in their blood stream, have successfully been reduced to undetectable levels. After several tests prior that had revealed a T4 helper cell count of less than 100, as you well know normal for a human being is between nine and 1400. I also know that once it drops to undetectable levels in the blood stream the only other way to do an accurate count is a lumbar puncture, or spinal tap as they are commonly referred to. After the virus has reached the level of undetectable, the next best test is a lumbar puncture, or a direct sample from bone marrow

The sad, sad thing in this country going on every day is that we, as a society trust Doctors and Scientists and take everything they tell us as ultimate truth and knowledge. We listen to statistics, which I learned in a statistics class are all relative and easily manupulated. We listen to them talk about treatments and clinical trials and use big words that confuse us and make us feel ignorant, because they are the "experts." Well, expert just means that one knows more than anyone else around. So essentially a 3rd grader would be an expert in a room full of kindergarteners! I am telling you from the perspective of an inside healthcare provider and from the perspective of being on the other side as a patient, nobody cares about your health but you! We remain victims because we are kept in FEAR! Become an expert. Not just from experience, but read every single thing you can about AIDS, natural healing, energy healing, the mind-body connection, alternative medicine, complimentary medicine. Don't believe everything. Formulate your own truth in your mind. One thing we do not teach in this society is for people to be independent thinkers and conscious beings! Another thing to think about is nothing else in this life matters if we are ill. It becomes a war and focus on the illness. If you are laying in a hospital bed, it doesn't matter how many friends you have, how much money you have in the bank, how big your house is, or anything else that we have a tendency to define ourselves by. Without our health NOTHING in this life matters! And we put something so precious in the hands of strangers, who are mostly doing what they have to so that they can support a lifestyle. I am not saying that all healthcare professionals are bad and greedy people,(there are some very caring and wonderful individuals who truly want to help people) but how many doctors do you know that drive a crappy car and live in a shack? We are a profit driven society. Medicine is not an industry of healing, it's an industry of profit. Healing comes from within. There are natural laws that must be followed. That's what medicine needs to be doing. Teaching us how to heal ourselves. We can send a man to the moon, surely we can figure out how to not get ill! But that wouldn't generate profit!

And don't get caught up in blood work and lab values. My ex-boyfriend, an MD and ND, was ill and had a T cell count of almost nothing. He could barely breathe, tested positive for HIV, and they thought he haaaad an aggressive form of leukemia. The specialists in St. Louis sent him home to die. He hasn't checked his T cell count for over a year. He's about as healthy as he has ever been and running a wellness clinic. Explain that one.

No one is immune because it is a metabloic disorder! And no one is immune to testing positive because the test is not testing for a virus in your blood! The test is testing for antibodies in your blood. Antibodies that could exist because you are pregnant, because you were exposed to someone or some animal's DNA that was not naturally occuring, such as immunizations or sexual contact. When you take someone's else's DNA into your body, it is recognized as foreign and a cascade of events is triggered in your immune system to destroy the unnaturally occuring foreign invader. Show me one piece of medically documented evidence that AIDS is caused by the HIV virus and I will be a believer. Yet this is "common knowledge." People are fooled every day. AIDS is a real disease, I do not deny this. People are dying because their immune systems are failing. But why are they failing?
I do not post here to argue with anyone or ever cause any ill feelings. These are my own opinions formed from what I have decided from opinions of others. I want to encourage anyone facing illness to be a thinker. Form your opinion, then become a doer.

I never intended, for you to feel as though I was being argumentative. I found our conversation to be quite interesting and informative. Not only have you brought up some very good points but you have also created the process of thought. So please don't feel that I am being argumentative or in any way attacking you for your beliefs.
I did however as my professor last night why so many people are testing positive for HIV only to find out later that they do not have it. He stated to me that because the insurance companies do not want to pay for the more expensive than accurate test. That detest most commonly used is either an oral swab, or just a basic lab work to test for the antibodies. And you're very right these antibodies can be caused by so many different things. The really disturbing thing to me is that people are being told that they have HIV and then often left to deal with things on our own. I cannot imagine being told that I have an incurable disease only to find out later, that I never had.
I know when I found out the emotions were overwhelming they immediately took over and dominated my life. I can't imagine anyone being told something like that without the hospitals being 100% sure that the patient in fact actually had the disease.
It makes me wonder how many women men and children have been falsely diagnosed with HIV and gone for all the emotions and depression only to be told at a later date, that the test was inaccurate. I imagine men told that it's inaccurate is a relief for those people, but what about the period of time between the positive test and the negative test?
Personally I feel as though we would all be better off if the insurance companies, the drug companies, and Congress would stay the hell out of a doctor's decision or on what to do or not to do to their patients. After speaking with my professor last night, I am more disturbed than I ever have been before.

I am a student of Metaphysics and it has opened up a whole new world to me I never knew existed! It taught me to think. The mind is such a powerful thing!
Don't put your health in the hands of others. Don't believe everything "they" say. I worked in healthcare! I got out because I saw the injustices and greed and the Big Picture. I chose to think for myself. It's not all bad, but seek the truth and you will find it. If you don't, the lies will kill you.
