Gaining weight

0 Recommendations

I'm an 22 year old young lady. I have been skinny all of my life, never had a easy time putting on weight. Lately i've been feeling strange when eating. I'll be hungry, stomach growling and everything, then when I go to take that first bite I get this feeling in the upper part of my stomach like i'm about to throw up. After eating a couple of bite (thats it just a few) I feel like theres no more room left and its about to come right back up. My mouth gets tired of chewing and I can't force myself to eat anymore. I'm already a skinny girl, I don't need to get any smaller, it might kill me! I want to eat, I just don't know whats stopping me. I don't know if there is a disease or sickness out there that causes those symptoms of if i'm just crazy! If anyone has any ideas on what I can do about this, please respond. I'm ready to EAT!!!

Dear 22 year old,

The first thing you need to do is to get evaluated by a medical doctor. A conoscopy and an examination of your stomach is in order.

If your medical results don/t show anything then you have to consider that the part of your brain that controls eating is not working correctly. You would need to be evaluated for anorxia along with a full personal history going back to childhood.

It is possible that your eating disorder is a form of a tantrum that is in response to something that has happened to you.

To review: First see a medical doctor and then a counselor qualified in eating disorders.

I wish you well as you seek resolution to your problem
