Would love to talk to another mom or dad that is going through the same thing as I am.

Hi,
My son has had food allergies since he was a baby, he's fifteen now.
If you'ld like to talk you can email me. My regular email is goodhealthwaters@yahoo.com...this site is slow to load up with my dial up internet service so that email address is easier to communicate back and forth.
Take care,
Susan

i'm commenting because of the seven year long nightmare our family went through, starting when my son was only eleven months old. due to a fungal infection - which can be brought on by the overuse of antibiotics, fungal spores in the air we breathe, etc... - my son developed several health issues... food allergies being just one of them.

he was diagnosed with autism when he was three years old, but my husband and myself couldn't accept this; as he was a very attentive and bright infant. there was also the fact that his nutrient absorption was low; and had to battle just to keep his iron up.

through extensive searching and a seven year long wait, we finally found the true cause of his many health concerns: systemic candida... a yeast infection that circulated through his system, reached his brain, and caused some brain damage.

and if you look up the many symptoms of candida, you will find the behaviors of many "so called" autistic children. they flap their hands because they are numb and tingling, they walk on their toes because there is no strength in their legs or feet. the short term memory loss and concentration issues explain thoroughly the so called "learning disability"... and the fact that the yeast can enter the eyes gives us the reason they blink so much... and of course, the list goes on.

there is also the possibility of the foods they are allergic to being genetically modified?... try doing a search on both of these topics and see if things start to add up for you... as well, you would also benefit from going to a site called: www.rawandjuicy.com about a woman who cured her condition by going on a raw foods diet.

hope this helps

We discovered that my daughter also has severe food allergies when she was a small child, and have had to develop some rather extensive coping mechanisms over the years. We have learned to read the fine print on food labels every time we go shopping, and we don't buy certain brands, as they contain trace particles of the allergens. Even with these precautions, there have been some exposures over the years, each of which has lead to an ER visit. I like to think that through the efforts we made, and by instilling the necessary safeguards into our child, we have limited the exposures over the years, and have empowered our daughter to handle these things herself, now that she is an adult.
