I asked what I could do to relieve the tightness and congestion in my chest in a previous discussion I got a few good answers and thank you all. I was asked if I took any other meds for my asthma and yes I do I take advair 500/50 accolate , theo something,combavent, and a couple of allergy meds along with my duo neb To be honest I take quite a bit and am considered a servere asthmatic with copd I do take prednasone when it is hard to breathe but I dont like to because my sugar levels go out of control I thought that maybe someone knew of a natural remedy I could try I do know that prednasone is a life saver for us asthmatics that is if we want to breath but what else is out there to take? I did find my rescue inhaler in my jacket pocket THANK GOD I just take alot of meds and I hate to take any more than I really have to take Thank you all so much for taking the time to answer me

I have what they refer to as significant asthma.... I take sinqulair, zyrtec , I use advair and provential I also have a nebulizer... If I am anxious I have anxiety pills ativan but I try not to take them.... I am very frustrated by the cost of medicine... If someone knows a natural cure I would be able to try it!!! I am very careful about preservatives and additives in food, I am a from scratch kind of cook. I have trouble if I go to Wal-mart or any other place with lots of strong smells. I don't smoke ( never have) and avoid places with smoke. I have NEVER gone to any of my high school class reunions cause they always have em in places I DON'T go... My husband of almost 32 is very kind to me... he dusts and vaccums it is hard for me to do... One thing that helps me when I am congested and stuffed up is a hot bath or shower... Be sure some is close by though in case you have a problem.....take care I wish you well... J

Jaleyn- Meds are so expensive! Have you tried to qualify for PPA? Patient Prescription Assistance. You do so with a form from your doc- they send in a copy of your taxes or whatever you have for income. It must be verifiable. PPA provides quite a bit. Good luck.

my wife was felling really bad from all the presription
drugs. I found allerphase for here , it is a non - prescription pill . She is now off all her prescription drugs except nebulizer , which she uses very rarely .
