Hi hope this catches your attention before you relent to amputation. I have been a diabetic 46 years and suffered some of the side effects of this disease. BUT none were as bad as when I was told I had to have one foot possibly both feet amputated that I had no options. I did my own research and learned about maggot therapy. It is FDA approved and does work. Right now it is used in over hundreds of hospitals and doctor offices across America. Also in VA hospitals and wound centers. You may ask yourself why have you not learned about it before??? Might be because of lack of money to be made in something out there in nature that works better than anything man can come up with. The maggots are raised disinfected and sold for medicinal purposes only. They cost approx $80-$90. They eat JUST the dead infected tissue(not the good like surgery does) they excrete enzymes to promote healing and they kill all the bacteria. They are not FDA approved for bone infections though they do work on that too. Maggots worked on my exposed bone and got rid of the bone infection(osteomyelitis) My feet have been healed for over seven years now. Barely a scar and I had a ulcer two inches around and one inch deep and 1/2 inch of exposed bone. Now....barely a scar. Most doctors do not know all the benefits of maggot therapy and need to be informed. So do the research and teach your doctor a thing or two. Or maybe since it is so cheap it is not used more widely. Maggots are not just for diabetic ulcers though we as diabetics have over 70,000. amputations a year. They also work on pressure ulcers, gangrene, and infected burns. Feel free to check out our web site for more info and contact me anytime for more info. I am just a volunteer on a mission to help others save their limbs and lives. Please do the same for yourselves! BTERFoundation.org. Or look up "Pam Mitchell Maggots" and see a few of the articles written about my story which could be your success story too!
