I also have a son who was diagnosed with ALD and adrenal insufficiency when he was 8. He was on Lorenzo's oil until he was 16. He wanted to go off it. It was a hard decision but he saw everything his older brother went through and still wanted off. He is now 25, happily married with a 1 yr. old son. He works in a warehouse loading trucks, and is very active. He sees an endocrinologist every 6 months. He is doing great. Whether it was the oil, just faith in the Lord or just plain old determination I don't know. He won't let it beat him. I also want to say we never would have made it this far with out the great people at KKI. They helped us through many difficult times.
