Transplant

Hi friends

I have 21 years, I made examination of long-chain fatty acids and gave the following result: 3 fatty acids changed, they are: oleic 13.2 reference 19,1-26,3. Linoleic 34.9 17,9-32,1. Linolenic 0.55 0,05-0,47. Since then probably AMN, but my doctor said I do not think AMN, then the question is whether or not AMN. In my case there is brain involvement. I will consult another doctor to discuss the possibility of an
self transplant. My fear is not paralyzing the disease, knowing the risks of
self transplant.

Hi
I am sorry you are dealing with AMN. I don't know where you live but the doctors at the hospital in Minnisota are experts in this field. Do you know about Lovastatin and N-acetyl-L-Cysteine? Both of these drugs are supposed to be beneficial in helping with ALD/AMN. Lovastatin can lower the long chain fatty acids, and N-acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is beneficial, it can be bought in a health food shop. There is information about it on the internet.
