Has anyone had issues choking on their saliva? I have been doing this since I was a child then more as and adult. Now I am waking up at night choking on my saliva.
If anyone has had this issue, what do you do for it?

Good Day! I have been diagnosed with ALD of an unknown origin plus Myathenia Gravis or MG. This is another disorder which is also involved with amunne system. The MG is also another specialty test that needs to be done at the Mayo Clinic. The problem with swallowing is one of the symptoms. I have to have IVIG treatments which helps alot with the swallowing problem. Fortunatley it also helps with my ALD symptoms. Do you ever have double vision? IF so that would be one good reason to ask your doctor about the MG or go see an eye doctor who specializes in MG. It could be something else but worth checking into. Good Luck!

Hello FBMOM1 -
Thank you for your reply. I looked up Myathenia Gravis. I am always fatigued but have none of the other symptoms. I don't have double vision. In fact, I am blind in one eye. I have been blind since childhood. I am a female. I had always had some kinds of symtoms of AMN like tripping over my own feet and such. I had other symptoms in my twenties that sent me to a neurologist and ever since it has been slowly progressive. However, lately I have been asperating more often and now at night. That is very scarey. I wake up choking and it's almost like my legs and one hand are in spasm. I just want to know if other go through or have been through this.

I have ADLD, and have trouble walking, swallowing, Urinating, double vision, I feel I am in a constant state of vertigo. I have been taking Midodrine HCL to help with the low blood pressure.

What is MG? can you send me a sight to look at

Hello!
Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder. The disorder can just effect your eyesight but normally it will effect all the muscles in the face, eyes, throat and down to the lungs. It can also cause weakness in the arms and legs. There is a certain blood test needed to get the diagnosis. This disorder can be fatal if you have not been diagnosed and you go into crisis. Sometimes the muscles in the lungs just stop working and you have to be put on a ventalator to breath. When the muscle strength returns the vent can be removed and you are fine. If the diagnosis is not known, must medical professionals would not put you on a ventalator and you could just die. You can just type in Myasthenia Gravis and all sorts of web sites will come up.
Thanks
FBMOM1
