Emotional the 2nd time around

I had a total thyroidectomy in September 2010 for well-differentiated papillary thyroid cancer. A single nodule 2.6 cm, 3 lymph nodes and 2 parathyroid glands were removed. Four weeks later I was given RAI ablation. Two weeks ago during a routine follow-up neck ultrasound they found two masses in the thyroid area- both the same size as the original nodule removed two years ago. I've been on the low-iodine diet for a week and a half and will have a whole body scan this Friday. They didn't do a biopsy this time. It sounds like they plan to do another round of RAI after the WBS, but I'm not sure. The first time around with cancer two years ago I was not so emotional. But now I'm starting to think about who will nurture my children.
