WHO IS THE BEST THYROID SURGEON IN LOS ANGELES

Does anyone know or recommend the greatest surgeon for TT? Follicular neoplasm with atypical cells from FNA for my mom. I would be so grateful for any referrals or advice. Thanks so much!

On facebook, I am friends with Gena lee Nowlin, her page is called Thyroid Sexy. She just named a Dr Kenneth Adashek of Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA. as a thyroid cancer specialist. Check it out!

My surgery was done by dr Gene Liu at Cedars. I like him. My scar is healing up nicely but I may have to go back in for another surgery. I don't think it is because he missed something but most likely because a new lymph node has grown since (hopefully not cancer an I won't need to go under the knife again...)
Good luck.
Coralie.

I went to Dr Michael Yeh at UCLA, he is an Endocrine Surgeon.

I had Dr. John Yim at City of Hope. He specializes in thyroid surgeries; loved him!

I had Dr. Abemayor at UCLA...he is head of Head and Neck Surgery.

You are all so awesome! Thanks for the sharing. It is for my mom coming up to see what's going on. Thanks for your support!

If you're in the valley, dr Allen Cohen in West Hills. I found him to be very caring and patient in answering all my questions. He also remembered me when I was in recovery later in the year for a different procedure. I believe he went to UCLA and is currently an assistant clinical professor there as well. Good luck!

I also would check the top 100 list. I compared the list to the patient recommendations and started my search there.

Dr. Adashek was Brooke Burke's surgeon and she looks like a million bucks only a few weeks after surgery!

Dr. Namazie in Tarzana did mine and did a fantastic job. He also has the best bedside manner which I think is important. Good Luck!

Love Dr. Namazie as well!!!

Thanks so much! My mom is going to see Dr. Adashek on Monday. If anyone has had experience with him, please let me know. Thank you so much!

Sue... I see you are in Sherman Oaks, I live in SO too.... Private message me if you have any questions or want to chat about Cedars etc.....

Dr. Yeh at UCLA. No one is better. If you can get to see him, go for it!

Hi I am on the east coast and new to all this but my 1st biopsy was atypical and second suspicious. Consider another biopsy with the afirma test maybe she doesn't need surgery get a braf test too and why a total until you know for sure?
