Age Range

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer when I was 23. After going through radiation and a partial hysterectomy it was hard for me to find people my age going through what I was going through. I have now been in remission for 5 YEARS (WOO HOO) and am now CO-Chair of an organization called I'm too young for this ( www.imtooyoungforthis.org ) Its a resource and support website for young adults under 40 facing cancer.
Just wanted to put it out there for anyone who may benefit from it. Also feel free to contact me as well.

Good for you, the support from this site has helped me. The UW Madison also has a support group for "young" survivors.

While I'm well beyond your group's age range, I had ovarian cancer when I was 23 long before you were born (1973). So congratulations on your 5 year!!! You've got a lot more miles to go.

Ididn't have cancer, but my doctors are probably going to try to get me to do a hysterectomy. I'm going to try really hard not to, but I will probably have to. I hope that things go well for you. Good luck.

I look forward to seeing your site. In 2007 I had 2 leep procedures on my cervix. I go back in May for an exam. I pray for NO abnormal cells. If there are more we have to start talking about the "H" word. I am only 29! I am encouraged that the Lord will see me through no matter what!

Congrats on 5 years! Many Many more to come!
