Turmeric causes high blood pressure?

** Originally posted by floridian **

Just came across this article that concludes that COX-2 inhibitors increase blood pressure. As turmeric / curcumin does block cox-2 to a degree, that raises the question of whether a large dose of curcumin will raise your blood pressure. Something to keep an eye on if you do take turmeric or cucurmin.
