The Beginning of Recovery?

0 Recommendations

I am so thankful for this site, your stories and support.

My fiance had a heart attack while he was at work July 2008. He received CPR immediately, however he went in to cardiac arrest after he arrived at the hospital which is when he went into a coma. He is now in a skilled nursing facility and seems to show signs of awareness. I know that everyone is different, but I would love to hear your experiences about when your loved ones started to regain consciousness.

What was the time frame?
What exactly did your loved ones do as they started waking up?

I have all of of my faith and trust in God that my fiance will make it through this life challenge. I believe that he will come out of this.

"Everything is possible for him who believes -

Please stay encouraged no matter how difficult things look.

Like you I am looking for people's stories of recovery. My brother in law had an SCA 2/16/09. The family was told there was no hope, then he came out of the coma. He has made great progress. It is still a wait and see and LOTS of PRAYER. We truly believe it was the prayers of so many that have made the difference for him. If you would like to read his story see this site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/leebenjaminhon

A man from work had an SCA in 2005. He was in a coma long time and is recoverying - slowly. You can read his story at B-LEEVE.com. Time is the great healers. Through this, we are all learning to hug our loved ones more and appreciate them while we can.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thank you very much for the sites. I was so glad to be able to read about the encouraging success stories. I also want to thank you for keeping my fiance in your prayers. Your brother in law will be in my prayers as well.

May God bless you and your family.
