Support SCAA and AED Advocacy

0 Recommendations

I would like to remind SCAA members of an easy way to help support SCAA. Please consider using GoodSearch as your web browser home page. The url is www.goodsearch.com. If you select Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association as your charity then every time you search for something SCAA will receive a donation from GoodSearch.

On the GoodSearch page you will find GoodShop. If you make an online purchase through one of the listed businesses then SCAA can receive an additional donation at no cost to you.

For the AED advocates among us I might recommend the book "Resuscitate" by Dr. Mickey Eisenberg - available through Amazon.com. Dr. Eisenberg is the medical director of Seattle/King County EMS and runs their highly successful defibrillation program. This should be required reading for elected officials and will be helpful to those who advocate to improve SCA survival rates. Of course my bias is still that police officers need to play a role in defibrillation programs.

My best to all of you,

Steve Johnston
