I am 38, had my SCA Oct. 23, 2007 and ICD placed Oct. 29, 2007. I am 'perfectly' healthy according to the Dr's and no explaination can be made as to what I have. No Long Q-T syndrome, not Brugada or WPW. We are just still trying to figure it out. In the mean time....
I was grocery shopping this evening and not thinking when we were doing the self checkout. I leaned over to get something out of the basket and leaned right over the scanner and demagnetizing strip! The strip made the 'boing' sound it does when you scan a CD over it to demagnetize the security label. I didn't feel anything and when I got home and told my husband he didn't think it was anything to worry about.
My ICD has 'powered up' several times the last month but has not shocked me so I don't want to take any chances!!
Am I just being overly concerned or totally nuts for worrying?
