I'M SO DEPRESSED

Hello everyone,
My husband lost his job in February. So far he has'nt been able to find one. We are having trouble keeping our bills paid. My son paid the phone bill for us so they wouldn't turn our phone off. He works in the produce department in a grocery store so he doesn't make a lot of money either.
I have been praying so hard, but I think that my prayers are just bouncing off of the ceiling. I go into the bathroom and cry and pray,but to no avail. My antidepressent isn't helping very much.
I hope that someone out there can help me. I'm at my
wits end.

Hey Ms. Bingo!

On November 11, 2008 you were thanking God for every day he let you live. Remember that? 8 months later you are complaining that life is hard, money is tight and your prayers are not getting answered? Welcome to my life!

Bingo! God answers all prayers but some times the answer is 'no.'

Life is HARD, money is TIGHT. But it is summer and the flowers are blooming. Work on being grateful for what you do have (life, a loving son who wants to support you, and ICD that seems to be working pretty well so far)...

Sometimes you have to make a choice not to be miserable. And look how well you've done on putting your fear of death into perspective! You're going to the bathroom to cry about bills?! I say that you should be proud of how much you have achieved in addressing your anxiety. Keep up your progress and in another 6 months or so you'll catch yourself crying because you broke a nail!

I think you are not giving yourself enough credit for how far you've come in such a short time.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know I feel better when I know someone is carrying me on their heart that day. What a wonderful son you have!

helped me after I got to thinking about it. You are right . God does answer prayers even if we don't like the answers.

makes me feel so much better. I know that God will
answer my prayers. He gave me a wonderful son and
a wonderful husband. I don't know what I would do
without my family and my faith.

It is good to hear back from you. My husband and I are about to take our girls camping for a few days, and I'll carry you on my heart with me. I hope you'll feel uplifted as we walk barefoot in the lake, play among the pines, fish off the pier, and experience other unplanned adventures. We'll say "bingo" when we see something beautiful!
