Anxiety and depression

0 Recommendations

Since my shocks in May I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression.. at first it was because of the actual event now it's because I have a low vibrating feeling in my chest that's making me cough and palpitations.. nobody knows what's going on but it's driving me crazy. I am seeing a therapist and got a second opinion ... I hope someone comes up with something soon!

prayers are needed please...

Hugs

Hello., as you now know that is not normal..I just found this site...

THank you so much Lydjahh!! I appreciate you responding. They think it's my atrial lead bothering my Phrenic nerve.. but they aren't sure yet.

Do you have an atrial lead or just a V lead? If so what are you paced at? Just curious because they want to make all of these changes on me and it's just freaking me out!!

Thanks again

Renee

The little titanium ticker is NOT supposed to vibrate! What does your cardiologist say? Call and talk to your ICD rep....perhaps it's a glitch. You will get used to having it there and the depression will lessen with time. I used to wish I had just stayed dead and now I am totally OK with life with the ICD. I don't try to cover it up either. I wear it like the battle scar that it is! Depression is normal and you can beat it!
