Knock on wood...I feel near normal

0 Recommendations

I've been on 5mg pred for a week now. Next week I'll be prednisone-free for the first time in more than 6 months. Weaning down hasn't been easy, but I have felt the most normal this past week (on 5mg/day) than I have since October '08. The swelling in my legs and feet is pretty much gone -- guess it was the pred. I've been having normal days where I just forget all about the sarc. Of course, I have some achiness due to weaning off the pred, but nothing I can't ignore. Sarc doc thinks I may be coming out of the flare-up.
Dare I say it? I feel okay. I feel hopeful.
Next week will be the real test. July 8th I go pred-free. Wish me luck.

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
