Just wanted to update my page. I was diagnosed with FSGS in Jan. 07. My doctor asked me to give him one year to treat me with some meds other than steroids. I agreed, and still have not had to go on steroids. I still have a lot of aggrevating symptoms (fatigue, swollen body, rashes, black/purple eyes, can go on & on & on), but I feel like steroids could make me have even more yucky symptoms. My protein has went from an 8 something last Jan., to hovering around 3.6 - 3.8 now. I also just found out that my liver enzymes are going up and down. I have an appointment with a liver specialist Fri. I know it's not from medication, we've already ruled that out. What next? I was so healthy and energetic all my life, now everything is just coming at me. I'm not ready for all this. Are there any other people out there who have sarcoidosis and kidney disease? My medical doctor says it's pretty common. (But what do doctors know?) That's why I'm on this site. So I can learn from people with experience!!! And I'm so tired of hearing "your kidneys are working fine"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really? Could've fooled me!!!
