I had a Doctor's appointment yesterday and found out that the state where I live is possibly closing the clinic where I receive treatment for Sarco. I have Pulmonary Sarco. I do not have insurance. So I have to go through the County while I'm pending medicaid.
To say the least this scares me. I don't know what I will do about meds if this clinic closes.
No one including my Dr seems to know if the clinic will close or not. They have already closed the Cancer clinic. I guess ppl without insurance are expendable. They can just toss ppl in the street and say good riddens. What hacks me off there are many ppl who abuse the clinic by saying they are sick and they are able to obtain medical cards. Imo, I think if they would weed those ppl out they would have the money to treat ppl who are truly ill.
I live in Las Vegas. With the Casino's in this town I see no reason why any ppl should have to suffer. Tax revenues should pay for everything. We even have horrible schools. There is no excuse whatsoever. But the end result is I may have to move. I don't know. To say the least I'm a little freaked out.
Thanks for letting me rant. My Dr. did give me 4 months of refills. Oh boy! Now what?
If anybody is thinking of moving to Nevada don't.
