Why is sarc so dark

0 Recommendations

Hi, everyone

Just wondering if its only me who has these dark spots all over my body due to sarc. I find this to be very depressing and wondering if there is something else I can try to get rid of them. My dermatolagist has prescribed a cortisone cream, which seems to be working as fast as me watching my nails grow. Sometimes I feel like a freak with all these dark spots. The size ranges from as small as a penny to as large as a toonie. Does anyone think tatooing my whole body work. Whats your opinion? Am I in this boat alone with no one to help paddle? your response is much appreciated. God Bless.

Prednisone is working on the "spots" for me. I will admit under flourescent lighting you can still see them as bruising..but not nearly as bad as before taking the pills.

It was admittedly embarrassing to have people stare at my legs and arms... well I felt they were staring at least.

And tatooing the whole body? Your choice..but I think hte pred is a cheaper start

I've had these spots for 21 years! All over my arms, legs, back and face. Mine are more red than brown. Nothing has worked to do away with them and I've been on dozens of medications.
I've just learned to go on with my life. Only one person in 21 years has approached me and asked me what it was.

I just tell people it is where my wife beats me with her broom..:)

I really feel for you guys. We spend a lot of time complaining that nobody takes sarc seriously because we look so well. We say that as a complaint, not giving any respect or consideration to what you guys go through. Unfortunately I think sometimes when people seem to be ignoring or not noticing is probably because they are uncomfortable. You probably have the same symptoms as most of us contend with but it takes a strong, well grounded person to cope with the appearance changes you all deal with as well. What a weird thing this sarcoidosis is. It gives us all a custom made illness that is different for everyone!

For all of my little red dots, I find concentrated tea tree oil helps to reduce them as well as using a body wash with some sort of exfoiliant. The tea tree oil is a potent natural anti inflammatory.
