I just wanted to share with everyone to perhaps help put some minds at ease...I've gotten a flu shot every year since I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. This year, my pulmonologist insisted I add the H1N1 shot to the "must do" list. I had it Friday and had ABSOLUTELY NO REACTION! And, I've never had any reaction to my annual flu shot.

I also have taken my regular flu shot and my h1n1 shot without any negative side effects.

Thank you for the information. I was planning on getting both, and a pneumonia vaccine as well. Now I do feel safer doing that. My pulmonologist had asked me about them, but I haven't talked with him again to see what he recommends. Take care, and God bless.

I had my pneumonia shot 5 years ago. I can't remember whether they are good for 5 or 10 years. But, it's been a Godsend. I used to get pneumonia every fall and haven't had it once since the shot!

That's great. I have had pneumonia twice in the last 2 years, before then I hadn't had it since I was 14, looooong time ago. LOL Thank you again, now I will definitely go get that one.

Good luck finding the H1N1!

Help and information from FSR

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
