Tamiflu, HINI, Sarcoidosis and Methotrexate

0 Recommendations

It is the weekend and I have S&S of flu . Probably H1N1 as I had the seasonal flu shot 1 month ago. I do have Tamiflu at home (just in case), and wonder #1 will it work if I'm already on Methotrexate and Prednisone for Sarcoidosis? #2 Will I get the Flu Symptoms badly being that I'm on Methotrexate? Thank you to whomever has answers to this. I didn't want to call my Pulmonologist on the weekend. I will start my profile when I feel better. Middie1

You Need to Make Sure the Tamiflu will Not React with Your Other Meds. When Taking MTX You need to make sure What Other Meds you can take before taking them. I'm Not Sure About Tamiflu, I also Need to Find that out.

Thank you D156
I did end up taking the Tamiflu and thinks it worked, just getting over the flu now. Lungs hurt a little, that heavy feeling, and tiredness is going away. No real side effects felt, tired , but probably the flu.

Help and information from FSR

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
