Stress related symtoms

0 Recommendations

In the last year or two I have come to realize that, when I am stressed in any way I become very ill, Sarcoid seems to pop up everywhere, Lungs, Heart, Neck and mostly Lymph nodes I have one in particular hanging around my air passage, I swear at times I could almost give birth to it. I can feel it moving and actually wiggle. No wonder The Gardener gives names to his the demons. Thank God I can actually laugh about it all, and just what else can we do??? Christina5

Laughter is very good therapy indeed! I also find that when I get overly stressed or just plain over do things the disease becomes much more active. I have been working on repainting the inside of our house plus working full time and I am paying for it big time. My uveitis is unrelenting and the aches, pains, fatigue, metal fog, all the fun stuff is really telling me I need a LONG vacation!! LOL!!

I also believe that stress either causes or exaserbates the Sarc. I have been under a tremendous amount of stress and have noticed increased symptoms in many areas of my body. I get so frustrated when I feel bad and cannot "make" others understand! Of course they can't understand! They don't have Sarc! I finally decided to take matters into my own hands. I made decisions and rules and put them into practice. I follow through with the consequences and even if all of my family gets mad at me for not putting up with their crap - OH WELL!!!!! I'm looking out for ME now!

I had figured sarc was affected by stress as it seemed to be worse after a stressful event and then my mom ended up with meningitus right before Christmas and temporarily couldn't walk. She spent about a month in rehab and then my dad needed my help with her so he could get his hours in at work. They live about 40 minutes away. With the worrying and all the extra driving and activity, I went into a huge flaire in January which lasted about 5 months. I started to feel better in May. I completely believe the flaire was a direct result of the added stress.
