SARCOIDOSIS AWARENESS DAY IN THE UK 6TH OCTOBER 2008

1 Recommendation

We are hoping to stage a "Sarcoidosis Awareness Day" in the UK on 6th October 2008 when parliament returns from their holidays. We intend to email many of the departments within the government in an attempt to raise awareness. Unfortunately, its only open to UK people but if anyone wants to adopt the same thing for their country, thenthe more exposure, the better.
Any UK people here can visit and join our site at

I am glad that you all are having this Sarcoidoiss awareness Day there in the UK on October 6, 2008. We here in the US will have ours on October 4, 2008. It is so good that the word is getting out about our disease. We all need to stand up and shout out about Sarcoidosis.

Why not split the difference and urge a
World Sarcoidosis Awareness Day
on October 5th for all countries?

Unfortunately we have already set the ball rolling due to the English Parliament resuming on the 6th October from their summer recession with emails being sent to various media. Good luck with your US venture and let's hope other countries join in too,

Hi Larry
I found this link to sar awareness day in teh USA, theres also a thread on here too.
While April is Sarc Awareness Month, I believe that October 4 is Sarc Awareness Day for 2008 according to the National Health Calendar. You can find the 2008 calendar at
