Race Across America

Just an idea but are there any cyclists who would possibly be interested in forming a team for RAAM? I have no idea if I could do it, but it would be something to shoot for?

RAAM? Wow, I'd settle for just cycling across Michigan in 24 hours (ODRAM). My hubby doesn't have sarcoidosis, and he won't even consider it anymore. Then again, we both have over a decade on you :)

How much cycling have you done this season? While I think exercise is a definite goal (and one I've been woefully bad about of late), I'm all for realistic and achievable aims. I know I'm not even ODRAM material, but had hoped to do more single day events this year than I have.

BTW, if you are a cyclist, I'd like to invite any Michigan sarcoidosis friends to come to the Bluewater Ramble on October 5 in St. Clair. I'll be working registration and lunch there, as usual, with my cycling club.

Oh i haven't been riding much lately, but am getting ready to put the studded tires on this winter. Team RAAM is quite doable, they have 2,4 and 8 person teams. While I have no dreams of attempting a two person team, a 4 person team you're only riding about 6 hours a day and on an 8 person team, your saddle time is only 3 hours! 3 hours is doable. I haven't checked into whether they have time cut offs etc... though.
