Hey all...this is my 3rd PET scan in a year...is there anything i should be concerned about??

Findings: No worrisome areas of hypermetabolism are aidntified. Presumed normal variant type distribution in both sides of the neck and in the GI tract. CT images Demonstrate slight atelectasis in both lungs. Subpleural nodule right middle lobe is stable.

Question...my last scan said negative w/ no evidence of residual malignancy...i have rt side abdominal pain...and ear pressure...and a racing heart...as well as other concerns...i am taking remicade every 6 weeks...how can they be sure this is not worrisome???
thanks!!

Wow that's a lot of PET scans, My insurance company wouldn't cover one for me because they are so expensive. My doctor had to argue with their doctor till they got it approved.

sorry i cant answer any of your questions did you ask your doctor?

Gosh, I wish had an answer for you. I do understand having funky symptoms and no answer. Just think, we are the patients that have a disease that sometimes a million docs can't give an answer for. If anything, I hope we are paving the way for answers for future patients. How else can we look at this sometimes??

I have never had a PET scan and don't understand the medical mumble jumble there, maybe someone else can interrupt for you. What did your doctor say when you asked him?

I also get remicade, every 4 weeks and I still have many of the things you mentioned and some other crap as well. I do feel better overall compared to before the remicade though and I have an appt with my sarc doc in a few weeks to see what he has to say about it.
