this past week i finally went to national jewish hospital in denver, after almost 5 years of searching and being called a phsyc, they found the sarc all over, more extensive in the lungs than anyone thought, definitely in my heart and neuro, neuro muscular. this place is the place to go, to he_ _ with mayo and those places, i'm telling you, this is place you need to go for absolute diagnosis, yes they do exactly look for the sarc and know how to do it extremely well. i've been all over the country and national jewish is the only one that took a ? of sarc patient and made it true within two days!!!! I know others have had the same success with cleveland clinic. they need another biopsy from the lung to 100% test the tissue before they start me on the chemo drugs. we'll see how long i live and hopefully the tx will slow things down for me. cardiac is very serious and is questioning me as a ticking time bomb. so they are trying to express me through the biopsy quickly. they also found that my diaphram, the muscle you breathe with is not working well, and thats my breathing problem, no one else found that in 5 yrs. if you question sarcoidosis just stop and go to national jewish in denver, co. i know in reality, its extremely difficult financially to travel for our health. but i praise god they are there and this one time there was support for me to get there. just make it easy on yourselves, we don't need the things we go through for the amount of time we go through them. i just don't want anyone else to go through what i have, i want everyone to find it quickly and tx quickly so all is well. god bless all and keep the faith.

So there are 2 hospitals of the same name..National Jewish in Denver and Cleveland? I'm in Iowa, so Denver isn't so impractical if I start running into problems (hopefully the new doc I see tomorrow will be on the ball). That's great to hear that they got things going for you and you are getting some answers. It's amazing how having confidence that we are all on the right road can help. I will be praying for you and definatley would like to hear about your treatment and new hospital.......take care, Dawn

I am happy/sad for you. Glad you finally received some answers.
Was there a certain dr that you saw or department?
I need to do something.
I am, or shoud I be, that Mayo didn't/couldn't do anything.
I hear a lot about the jewish and the cinncinate.
I have systemic sarc but no one is really putting down on paper exactly where or what to do. So far my left arm, skin and lungs. I do have it worse then this and so tired of the pain. I need help.
Best of luck

I'm sorry to hear that your sarc is so invasive but at the same time, its got to be a relief to finally have some answers and great doctors. Thanks for sharing and please keep us updated on your progress.

two different centers - national jewish in denver and cleveland clinic in - well - cleveland. unrelated, as far as i know, but both have excellent reputations and lots of recommendations from members of this forum.

Nice to know! National Jewish is only 3 hours from me. It's very comforting to know it's so close. My doctor is wonderful and doing a lot to learn about Sarc, but I think even he would be greatful to have more to glean from. Thank you for sharing!
Hang in there~ I hope this is the start of something wonderful for you!

I know for me with the drs.at nat.jew. in denver they know how to treat and get you back to normal . I have
sarcs in my heart and lungs .Dr.Gottshell has told me that she has not lost a sarcs patient yet.So you are in
good hands
