I was discharged from the hospital today after 4 days, (endoscopies for lymphs and mass in my chest) with my diagnosis of Sarc. I had the joint pain, vertigo(which prompted my ER visit) and a few other common symptoms. I have to take Prednisone 40mg daily amongst other medication. In just two days, the steriod makes me an emotional wreck and can cause poor blood sugar--may lead to insulin. The Adivan helps with the vertigo but, its reported to be addictive. Is there anyone who has had success through herbal remedies or holistic doctors? If so, what were some of their suggestions and treatments?

Hi Kim,
While I do not of any herbal remedy advice to give you, I just wanted to let you know that I was here and listening :) I am sure someone else will chime in though and hopefully be able to give you some info.

Sorry to hear that you were hospitalized. Are you feeling any better? Were you having trouble with your breathing? I too, often have extreme vertigo. i have had it so bad at times that I have to get on the floor to crawl and even then I tip over. It scares me so much!

Take Care,

I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling well. I feel for you. We all know the struggles that we have to deal with. NO on else does. I don't have the dizzy feelings yet but can certaintly feel your pain. Take care of yourself and i hope you feel good very soon.

Hi Tonya,

I actually went to an herb doctor. He was very informative with his diagnosis of the overall problem. TOXINS!!! Although he discourages any detour from the doctors regiment, he suggested a system cleaner because when our bodies have too many toxins, we are wide open for disease. For me, I've always had chest ailments due to smoking, I didn't eat the best foods and I had been depressed over the recent loss of my mother.
As for my health, I have good days and I've instituted the mind over matter attitude. The vertigo is under control with Adivan although it makes me tired. I am truly going to think positive and through God, create a healthier more spiritual lifestyle. Thanks for your reply and I hope we can stay in touch.

You Take Care

Hi,

I'm glad I've found a community of support because when I was diagnosed, not one of my friends heard of this disease. I'm feeling better and through God, will get better. Question, do you suffer with GERD?

Kim

Tonya,

I had such difficulty breathing that I couldn't sleep most nights because of the wheezing. Since I started the Prednisone, the lymphnods have shrunk and I've been able to rest. Its an uohill battle but, I will stay on top of this.
