Karen Duffy has new job

Hi Friends
It looks like Karen Duffy has a new job on FLN (fine living Network). It is a show called SURPRISE VACATIONS WITH KAREN DUFFY. I am going to watch just to see how she is doing. Have not heard much from her lately. She is a real fighter with NeuroSarc. Gives hope to us all.

There is a bio on the website for the show about her. She mentions her battle with NeuroSarc briefly and talks about being a mom. She sounds happy.

Thanks so much, Bunkie.

I did catch the two shows. What a wonderful concept....rewarding deserving people with a vacation. Really sweet and Karen looks marvelous! Looks like she is doing great....gives us all so much hope!
Thanks, Bunkie.

She did look good didn't she? Made me feel good too just seeing her out there like that. I read her book and she had it bad so there is hope. Looks like we are the only two that saw it.

My wife and I watched the 1st show. I've always felt a bit of a bond with her (she and I have similar cases and symptoms). We met her at a sarc conference 7 or 8 years ago; she signed my copy of her book, "your sister-in-sarcoid", a good concept she promotes. I agree we are all family members with this illness.

Its good to keep up with her on television. I wish I could match her zeal.

Tim, your brother-in-sarcoid

Hi Tim
Have always liked her. I remember reading and article about her years ago when she first got the Sarcoid. I was thinking what a wierd disease and just kept going. Here we are now years later sisters in the same disease. She really does seem to have a quest for life. After reading her book I thought she would be more disabled but she really is a fighter. Makes me wonder why I can't move around like her sometimes but I know we are all different.
I am going to watch her again and I actually like the concept of the show.

I remember her! She was a model and got sarc on her spine. I was looking her up on the Net recently. I'm glad she survived it and has a future. Thanks for keeping us informed. . .

Help and information from FSR

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
