I have been using Humira for 2 years now. For me it is like injecting the flu into you. And if i am lucky i will down for 2 days, not a week. Is anyone else using this treatment and how is it working for you? For me it causes sinus infections 8 to 12 times a year.
I am wondering if you have any good feelings about it and what it is. Have you felt better? I am on methotrexate and prednisone. I am not sure if it working. But at least I am doing something. I am not sick at all except the first day from the methotrexate. I really had a bad day after taking last weeks medication. But I took a nap and I felt better. I think I might ask my doctor to change your medication. since it causes problems for you.
I have mixed feelings about this treament. For me this is the last chance i have before going on prednisone. And i do not want to do that. I have been on everything you can think of, including methotrexate. That for me was the worst of them all. No sleep. Could not eat, walking was very painful. So i take the Humira 2 a month. Most the time i feel drained and achy, for 2 days. I get frustrated fighting off the infections. One of them put me in the hospital last summer. Good side i was in remission for 15 months. Now i need to call the doctor and up the Humira and i keeping forgetting to call. No, i'm a big sis.
I was on humira for a while and it did help but not enough so I switched to remicade and that is working much better for me. Have you tried the remicade infusions yet?
