Insurance companies know us now

Yesterday my husband had a physical for life insurance. The nurse came to our home to perform it. Afterwards, he told me that among the many questions asked about his own and his blood relatives health issues, they asked about sarcoidosis.

Maybe they've been doing that for a while, but he's had these physicals numerous times and does not recall being asked about sarcoidosis before. Good thing the relative that has it is not a blood relation.

Just one more reason for them to deny us I guess:(

Ten years ago I was turned down for medical insurance because I had sarcoid. Now they just rate me up because I have it. Is that progress??

I am trying to get Long Term disability from my last job (it was through the Archdiosese) but the guy handling my case says the docs aren't telling him what he wants to know. He know that I hav e steroid induced osteoporosis and back fractures, brittle bone, the sarc has flared up again and shown its nasty head again and I am in more pain. My job just "laid me off, or fired me because wasn't well enough to return to work and perform according to the :"needs of the front office" I was the school secretary for 8 years. He changed my job description to set me up to fail, knowing my back was fractured (i had 2 kefoplastys in the last two monthw on my spine) which hasn't helped much (it is like glue with balloons minserted in the fractures) which does not prevent further fractures.
He added clauses that included "carrying, sitting up and down, running back and forth, etc. then the guy from the company knowing I no longer have the job and have in under doctors care and on disability for the past year, said he had nothing to prove I have been followed by a doctor or"treated" by a doc. I think he is trying to do a very good job of denying me. This is through my last job,not the state. I can imagine my battle that I am in store for now. My job and "human"resources told me to apply for it that I was eligible. And this is a Catholic church..But it is the people in power..using God..So, I hope I can at least get this, it is for 2 years, 1 year gone already, one year left..hopefully to help me pay for my cobra (medical)state ran out.. I don't think he understands how hard the sarc is on our body..they are probably looking at the surgeries..maybe they want the doc to say I only have a short time to live..I probably would be denied anyway..why waste their money on a woman who won't be around for too long..Sorry, I am going to fight this Sarc monster for as long as I have a breath in me..sorry for the pun, those breaths are precious to us lung sarcs...God Bless All..Always, Providencia
