$$ for FSR and Sarc Research!

7 Recommendations

Hi Sarc Family!

I got some heartwarming news this morning.

The wonderful business my husband works for has a charitable giving initiative in place. Each month a charity is chosen and employees participate in donating to that charity.

September has been chosen as the month to raise charitable donations for SARC! These donations will be given to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Awareness (FSR).

For those of you that appreciate this kind support of us, please respond back. I'd love to send a string of thanks to the HR director and owner who have made charitable giving an important part of their workplace.

That's wonderful news! A big THANK YOU to HR for showing such compassion in donating to different charities. I'm grateful for you choosing the FSR as your charity in September. Every bit of money and awareness that is raised is a step in the right direction.

With much appreciation and kind regards,

Kris

It is so nice that someone is actually trying to drag this disease into the light so we can beat this malady, more people need to know about sarc and then hopefully down the road someone will find a cure for it.

This is awesome! I am so thankful to anyone who is willing to give of their time and resources to help understand and battle this disease. This is a great step toward hopefully one day finding a cure and a better way of life for all of us who suffer with sarcoidosis.

Many THANKS to your place of employment. It's great that a business actually impacts causes near and dear to its employees.

I am so happy to hear that a company, with this economy, is trying to help others and now they are giving to our cause also.
Huge thanks to the company and every employee and owner/owners for helping us.
Sincerely,
Gone Natural

Ellj,

Please pass along our heartfelt thanks to your husband's company. Perhaps this will start a trend??????? I have found the only way anyone knows what sarcoid is, is if they know someone with it. Maybe this will spread the word (and the good deed)!!!! God Bless

Hi Ellj

Stopped in to see how many people said thank you and you only received 8 and I am the only one to put up a recemmendation and people wonder why others,, including doctors say sarcoidosis what!

I knew before and really know know that my entire gut issue was sarc even though the all the drs say no. There is no spots because I don't have sarc of the stomach per say, I have nero-sarc so the entire tract is over sensitive.

At least the last dr, my 4th in 2 yrs, maybe my 7th in 10 yrs, not including ER's, did give me some super meds that really truely do work for some of the issues even though he says it isn't sarc. He wasn't thinking nero-sarc.
So I will say another thank you to you, your hubby and his very kind company so more research can be done to teach these many students in school what sarcoid is and how it can affect us and have some day conventions for some drs to learn something too
Hugs

ellj,
Thank you so much for this opportunity to thank the human resources department of your husband's company for choosing the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research as their September charity.

Suffering from this disease is something that no one wants to endure. And hearing the diagnosis is often dumbfounding because of the mystery surrounding this disease. The donation from your husband's company will help to change both of these problems: finding a cure and creating awareness.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Dear Ellj,
Please express our heartfelt thanks to your husband's employer for their contribution. As our home is being foreclosed on, we can't afford to contribute, so it's nice to know that someone can.
Thanks,
Rhinoldy & rhinoak (my hubby)

In a time when so many are unemployed, how wonderful your husband is employed by a company that truly cares. Money is tight all over and donations are dwindling. Please thank this benevolent company for their donation, I can speak for all of us in saying we greatly appreciate the help and the attention to this horrible, unknown (by too many people) disease. Once again Thank-You. Rubies

Val
Really appreciate the HR for the donation. Hopefully we can others to do the same.

I've already told my family to put it in my obituary,'in lieu of flowers please donate to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research'. Every one of us on here should do that!!!

Hi ellj,

Please pass my gratitude to the HR Director and Owner of your husband's company. Sarcoidosis suffers from an awareness problem and a lack of funds. Their contribution helps alleviate both challenges and moves us closer to new treatments... and maybe even a cure!

Thank you,
X

As a sarcoidosis patient I thank this business for not only it's generous contribution but also for the attention to this orphan disease. Some days I feel irritation at all of the attention and depth given to the more 'popular' causes. Though I do not begrudge the patients of these diseases the support they do receive, I often wonder what it would feel like to see the community rally around the cause and cure of the one that I live with everyday. Thank you again.

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
