embarrasin topic...pain in the private area

0 Recommendations

Has nyone experienced pain in thier private area? This has happened to me 2 different times. It always seems to come along with pain in the lower back where the siatic nerve is that runs down the upper out side of the legs and on down to the knees. It sort of the same feeling of a bad bacteria infection. Aching, throbbing. and heavy feeling. The first time was at the first this of this year. A few months after docs discovered a large 5cm wat was said to be a cyst on my left ovary. The ovary was removed. So I chalked that episode to that. Then Sunday it occured again. I was feeling fatigued but decided to go to Kmart and almost immediatly after walking in I began to feel worse. All the areas described aboved started hurting. We were only in there for about 45min and I had to stop 3 times to rest and get my boyfriend to rub my back just to make it thru. The first time I was also trying to shop w my mom at a dept store at which the pain was alot worse almost unbearable. I stayed sat down almost the entire time in excruciating pain. The only other difference in the first time and Sunday was that the first time the whole entire private area was hurting and Sunday only the left side hurt. Both times I went straight home and went to bed until the next evening and awoke w the pain gone. This is weird.

Hello HopeNicole

Just a thought on your groin pain.......Lymph nodes!!!! We have them everywhere, and sarc does often like to frequent the lymph nodes. This has happened to me quite a few times, without the back pain, and this is the explanation I have received. Often when this occurs, I soak in a hot bath for a while with a good book....It helps some. Good luck and be well!

could be a crushed disc (L4-L5) on your siatic nerve or could be another cyst or infection in your female parts also. I had symtoms similar to yours and tried the non surgical treatments and it just is getting worse sometimes I'll even urinate and not feel it or even feel I have to go and the nerves affect it sometimes it's really painful, other times numb, or tingly.

When i have pain 'down there' it are kidney or bladder stones. Took a while for them to find out cause they are small. The (calcium) stones are caused by my sarcoidosis who fuck up my calcium metabolism.

thanks for the replies. I am actually in the process of getting an appt at the cleveland clinic. From wat I have heard on this site it is a wonderful place to go. So i am goin to get them to do a complete checkup.

I have been awaken in the middle of the night with pain in that area. I thought it was probably my lymph nodes. I take Ibuprofen (600 mg) that takes care of it. I notice mine normally occurs when its going to rain. My sarc acts up alot during rainy days or when it is going to rain.

This must be miserable. I would also think it may be lymphnode involvement. Don't just let it go, get to a doctor as soon as you can. Maybe it would be best to see a doctor when you are in pain, so that they can witness what you are going through.

good luck!!!

Hi HopeNicole,

I have had some problems in that area..and yes until now..I too was embarrassed to speak on it..this has been very informative..I had been diagnosed w/herpes many many years ago..But til lately Im starting too wonder if that's what it is at all..Seeing that sarcoid is a multiorganism disorder..why couldnt it effect down there as well..it causes so much havoc through out your system..I have been battling w/xtreme fatigue for sometime now..and bacteria infection a few times..my pulmonary had me take a test of my sputum/saliva in the summer..cause i suffer w/chronic sinusitis among other chronic health challenges..but..my mucus/phlegm stays discolored..has been this way 4 over 10 yrs..i get antibiotics but it has never gone away..what came out of the test was bacteria..I go to ENT as well..for this and I have a small cyst in my sinuses..which he's monitoring..ENT dr. prescribes a daily sinus rinse..he says due to the sarcoid..it causes so much dryness..i will always..have to do this..

So..good luck on your doctor's apt..I hope you feel well very soon..or close to well as u can..w/this conditon..that's what i luv about this site..you can talk about anything...LOL...

Take care..JB

I usually get my wife to look after those pains. She knows just what to do and it doesn't take very long!

To Dog: What kind of a person are you?...the rest of us are suffering here with serious health problems and are trying to support each other. Do you think making a dirty joke is going to make anyone feel better? You're on the wrong website.

If you have sarcoidosis, there could most definitely be lymph node swelling down there, as well as calcium "stones" caused by the sarc. An ultrasound showed that I had not only a lot of cysts on my bladder and "plumbing" but inflamed and scarred lymphs and the calcium pockets, all supposedly sarc related. The urologist said these "could" be removed, but the scarring from the operation would be worse than the scarring of the sarc, the swollen lymph nodes and calcium pockets would come back anyway.
Drink lots of water, empty the bladder regularly (i.e. don't hold it), don't sit for long periods on hard chairs, take anti-inflamatories (ibuprofen, Tumeric, etc.), not much else we can do.

dog ,I thought that was funny.

Ha Ha I am serious I am experiencing pain all over that just comes and goes! The reason I ask this is because I was unsure if we have lump nodes there or not. Rite now I am in constant pain in my neck shoulders and upperback. I feel like omeone has a match holding it on my neck. I am goin to my medical doctor sometime this week. Hopefully she can spped the process up to the Cleveland Clinic.

Help and information from FSR

Sarcoidosis and the Body
Sarcoidosis is a "multiorgan" disease - meaning it almost always involves more than one organ. It's unpredictable and affects different people in different ways.

You can learn about the ways in which sarcoidosis affects the body in FSR's Sarcoidosis and the Body brochure.
