Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share some good news with all of you Wayne finally got approved for SSD. We recieved his award letter and it states that he is disabled with severe impairments, sarcoidosis of the kidneys and lung and also degenerative disc disease of the spine.
I also wrote a letter to my congressman and he moved wayne's case within a week we had a court date for Sept 17,2008 and on Sept. 8 i called the lawyer to go over the case before our hearing and he told me we were approved i could not believe it, no hearing and not even to see one of there doctors i thought that was unheard of. The lawyer said that they had enough medical on wayne and that his doctors wrote that he was disabled and he could no longer go to work. So for anyone trying to go on SSD hang in there i know first hand it is a very hard and a long process but make sure you get a lawyer to help you with the paper work. If anyone needs any help please ask.

In Canada, it is almost as hard for Canada Pension Plan Disability. But, my Doctors (5) and a 57 page medical report was all they needed. Approved in 6 weeks!!!! That was 2 years ago. I have to be followed up every 5 years. I could not believe it. Approved on the first go round. I know people who have MS and it had taken up to 2 years to be approved. Congrats to you.

Congratulations! I know it is a lot of work and a long process. I just find it incredible how the world is becoming harder to live in and no raises in the money. Wait until Jan. Then you get $1-30 dollars, Wow, thanks, I worked for that!
What a relief to receive that letter though. Good for both of you.

Congrats, your email is giving me some ideas. Thanks a lot. I am waiting on my second decision. I have one letter from my doctor, but I have appointments so I will ask for more letters.
