my daughter is untreated and it scares me so much

0 Recommendations

my daughter has schizophrenia and there is no doubt....however she is now married and this young man calls himself ''the governor and gait-keeper'' of my daughter and has moved her state to state and she needs treatment. She is hallucinating and it is increasing. Legally there is nothing i can do. I am grieving so much that there are days it is hard to just breathe. Is there someone out there who wants to chat? also i am a female..they have me as male..i will try to have that changed. thanks.

I feel for you and your daughter. I have schizophrenia myself. I know that it is easy for people like myself to influenced by other people like your daughter's husband. There are so many great new drugs out there now that it is a shame that someone has to suffer like this. It sounds to me like your daughter's husband has his own problems as well.

My own daughter has problem too. She is on Geodone and had some problems at college when it was diagnosed. With medication, she, like I, is living a normal life.

It took a lot of time for me to accept my diagnosis and get the right medication. I had trouble at work, and treatment was forced on me as a condition of employment. Finally, now that I'm retired and no one is forcing me and I have the right doctor and medication, I feel great. It is just so hard to accept that diagnosis. It has such stigma attached to it.
