Hello, my name is Stephanie. I was just told by my rheumatologist that I'm positive for parvovirus B19. He said that my exposure was not recent. What exactly does this mean? He said my level was 0.56 and the normal is 0.08. I'm nearly five times the normal value, but I'm not sure what this means.
I've found some literature, mostly about Fifth's Disease, which I don't have. I don't remember ever contracting Fifth's Disease. Mostly, I've found that this virus is implicated in some autoimmune problems, but I can't find out much else.
Can anyone send any links to help me out? Or give me some helpful information? I'm tired of reading about "slapped cheeks!"
Thanks!
