so, even though we don't yet have a diagnosis, I'm more and more sure of my belief that my daughter is suffering from Mastocytosis. Tonight we went to the urgent care center because of her coughing and shortness of breath and fever...(we have had many deaths from swine flu in the area) but I was pretty sure it was a flare. The doc cleared her for flu/pneumonia and then asked me about her skin. I told him we had an appt. on Monday to see a dermatologist... I mentioned masto to him and he actually knew what I was talking about! He worked with a doctor in OK that specialized in Masto. He asked me several questions about her (does she wake up with headaches? Does she have stomach problems? etc...) we answered 'yes' to every question. Now if I can just convince the dermatologist to go with me on this and test her.....
