Reglan & Antidepressants

0 Recommendations

Hello Everyone. My little brother walked into a hospital for stomach problems and had to stay there for 2 days. On the day he was to be released, he inexplicably suffered heart failure. As a result, he also suffered a stroke and is now bedridden and his speech is barely audible.

We are sure now that he was given the medication Reglan for his stomach problems and also Protonix and Zofran. We also now know that my brother had been taking antidepressants prior to his hospital stay. We are not yet sure as to whether the hospital staff asked him if he had been taking antidepressants before they decided to treat him with Reglan. But we know that taking Reglan and antidepressants (or having recently taken antidepressants) is a volitile mixture and can cause heart failure. So, to make a long story even longer, please don't mix Reglan and antidepressants!
