Pediatric Vascular Neurosurgeon needed

0 Recommendations

I'm looking for a pediatric vascular Neurosurgeon who is experienced with Von Hipple-Lindau. My 12 yr old has a brain tumor and multipal spinal cord hemangioblastomas. I live in New England and Boston Childrens Hospital is about 1 hr away. This is not an emergency. I have some time to find the right doctor to follow him and guide us. Please help.

You'll probably want to do a Google search on Dr. Carson. He's a very remarkable physician and world renowned neurosurgeon.

You can also do a Medline/PubMed search. This allows you to search all of the medical journals. You can read the abstracts for free. You'll have to pay for the full-text of any articles. But since you are looking for the authors in order to find experts in this particular disorder, you may not need to get the full text. There are many sources for accessing PubMed - again, a Google search will get you to it.

Good luck!

Thank you, this site has been helpful.

I'm glad that I could be of help. PubMed was a lifesaver for me many times when I was looking to be better informed on some of my daughter's various diagnoses. She was born with VACTERL Association and a tethered spinal cord.
