I am mother of three daughters aged 12, 6 and 5 months. My eldest daughter was diagnosed with L2 Hydroxyglutaric Aciduria at aged 8 and then also found out that my 2nd daughter has the same condition. Initially it was very hard to accept but we put our total faith in God when we tried for our third child. I didnt care about whether the baby was a girl or boy - just prayed that she did not have this condition.
I now thank Allah that the baby does not have the condition at all.
This condition was all very new to me and family and not even heard of in our local hospitals so to hear that there are others with this condition, helps us to deal with it better.
Our Doctor started them on Riboflavin (50mg daily) just last month. I would like to know how soon can you roughly see a difference in the children? I know it can be difficult to tell as all kids are very different. Also does L Cartinine help?
