Our son is 13 days old and we have been told that he has a Chromosome 6 deletion. He has other medical issues as well, but the doctor's are not sure if they are related or not.

My son has chromosome 6 deletion from14.1q to 15q. And also has been put in the austim field. We didn't know until he was four what was wrong. Your son looks tiny like mine. Timothy had two major surgeries before he was two weeks old for other problems! He now is strong 13 year old and has only had small health problems since, please write me let me know how your son is, I don't know if any of my past experience can help but you are welcome to anything that I know! Our son is 15 years old, and he has a chromosome 6p24-6pter deletion.
The early years were a challenge, but I want you to know that there have been great joys as well. Most of all, I want to give you hope that your child will live a wonderful life, and will probably achieve much more than you have been told.
