Has anyone experienced losing their hair from Prednisone? I have experienced about a 40% hair loss recently. The amount that comes out daily continues to surprise and alarm me. Been on and off Prednisone for 1 1/2 yrs, however, the last 5 months at high dosages. It began to fall out, as well as become extremely dry and brittle at the same time I started weaning the Prednisone over the last 4 weeks. Would love to hear encouraging advice from all of you who have walked this tireless road. Prednisone is bittersweet... the miracle of the drug is sweet, but the side effects are ever so bitter. Last week's bone scan gave an osteoporosis diagnosis from the Prednisone at 48 y.o. :o Complications from treating the Pemphigus. Any suggestions for keeping and/or growing my hair would be so appreciated.
