Four years ago I started having horrible earaches. Several months later I had some dental work done, came back from the dentist and my heart started palpitating, throwing PVC's every second or third beat. I went to the cardiologist and all tests were normal, but put me on verapamil. During this time, every time I would eat, I felt a squeezing sensation in my chest, heart palpitations, rash on my face, neck, a heaviness in my neck. My doctor sent me to an allergist who diagnosed me with allergies/food intolerance and put me on gastrocrom, which helps a little.
I did some research as I noticed when I ate cheese or dark fruits or vegetables I would get worse. I was so sick and desperate for some relief I sent away to Germany for diamine oxidase, which helped for an hour or so and then the symptoms would come back and I could not afford the medication. I wound up hardly eating because I would get so sick every time I ate. I went through the food elimination and can only eat meat, pasta, chicken, fish, potatoes and rice, all organic. I started taking vitamins and they made me sick. I don't know what to do, my allergy doctor thinks I'm insane.
If anyone has any recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated.

Allergies Verapamil

Have you considered migraine, since it can manifest in different ways and, for example, getting worse after having eaten cheese…Another thing is overactive synthesis of prostaglandins – scientists are constantly developing new drugs for this stronger that good old ibumetin, but if too much prostaglandins is the case, you should be cautious since they are beneficial for cardiovascular system.

I have never heard of this but am appreciative of your reply and will do some research. Thank you.

Food allergies or intollerances are not a rare disease. I suggest you go to an allergy website.

I was looking for some help, something, anything, to point me in the right direction for a diagnosis and treatment.

I had read several posts concerning allergies on this website before I joined and thought it would be okay to post without being chastised.
