Genetic Testing for Ehlers-Danlos Type IV

Has anyone ever successfully had medicaid pay for the genetic testing for ehlers-danlos type IV. I hear that usually it has to be paid by credit card in advance and that doctors don't have any luck getting medicaid to pay for it. My nephew has been on medicaid since he was born when his mother died. I hear it cost $1300 and that is just for that particular type. The others cost different amounts to test and it looks as though this may run in my family.......unbelievable.
