anyone get this? Seems to be related.
almost every body who has had a colonoscopy has been diagnosed with diverticulosis including myself it is when you get diverticulitis is when the problems begin not all people with diverticulosis get diverticulitis. so just do what GI tells and no need to worry
made a mistake, I meant DIVERTICULITIS...
I had a severe attack, was in the hospital.
I was having an attack yesterday which knocked me flat most of the morning. I still have not recovered, but I am back in work because I need the money.
Did you end up in the hospital like me? Its been one week now and the pain is still like someone sucker punched me. I am wondering if this is MAST CELL related? AS far as the inflammation, etc. ANY ideas anyone. REST MICHAEL!--this coming from a mom....LOL
Yes, been hospitalized then 1 foot of colon removed. More infections, found out I have C. diff (from the antibotics),... etc...finally diagnoised with cholangiocarcinomia. Stage 4 mets to liver and lung. So diverticuloisis gave me a few more months with my family that they woudl not have found out until it was to late....By being a pain literally in the butt...
I'm so sorry. Enjoy time you have, we never know if its one day or years or decades. I know its not the same but had C diff before, hope to never again, lost 20 lbs in 7 days, was a skeleton. Peace be with you and your family.
Hello all. My sister, after about three attacks of diverticulitis in rapid succession, had a good chunk of her colon removed. She has no signs of SM, so, mph, I don't think there is a connection. However, any abdominal disorder can lead one to think there might be a connection because of all the gastro symptoms that can come with SM. I hope this finds everyone having a good day. My best to all. Dale
Hi there, not sure what's happening with me but last night I was doubled over with pain in lower and middle ab, felt like knives and the whole area was tender and swelled up like I was pregnant... today still looking somewhat preggers and still in pain and just so tired of going for tests!! Waiting for an ultrasound this week, didn't go to the ER but should have I guess, this following an upper ab attack on Saturday night.. Halloween, My birthday, dressed like Elvira and sooo not wanting to go to the ER like that!! LOL It passed after several hours of agony and lots of pain meds but this followed... the doc is making a house call tonight because I can't haul my butt anywhere today... I assume it's SM though my SM doc yells at me when I assume... we'll see what the GP has to say for himself but I will say that this doesn't feel exactly like the usual gastro stupidity that SM causes but with this you never know what will happen next!!
God I hope I don't have something knew and annoying to deal with!!! How are you feeling now MPH? I hope you are feeling better!!!
And hoping everyone else is having a good day.
Healing Hugs all around
