My wife had a perforated esophagus which was repaired. I'd be interested in speaking with anyone who had a similar experience and outrcome so that I can get an idea as to what to expect in the futuer, especially special care, diet, percautions etc.

Hi there,
My husband tore his esophagus in July 2007. I would love to talk to you about it. Tell me more about her situation. My husband went 30 hours before being diagnosed (he didn't want to go to the hospital). It took about a year to completely heal from it. He has a secondary problem now that we're dealing with. An infection of some sort is in his chest. They've gone in and removed it at least 6 times but it keeps coming back, they can't find the source. Ask me anything, I'll tell you all I know. I'm sorry you're going through this, it's incredibly challenging as a spouse.
